Travis Kelce Prop Play – Divisional Round

NFL prop plays, Travis Kelce props, NFL picks

Trust us, we’re well aware we will not be the only ones poking around Travis Kelce props, and certainly not the only ones doing so looking to play the “Over” on them. Throw out Kelce’s regular season numbers and underwhelming performances most weeks, this is the time of the year Patrick Mahomes locks in on him, asking him to do some heavy lifting for this offense.

Even with his retirement looming (maybe even this spring), Kelce’s poised to do what he does, and that’s be one of the most impactful players on the field when he suits up for a playoff game. He’s booked 70 receiving yards or more in 13 straight postseason starts now.

The last time we saw him catching balls was Week 17 vs. the Steelers, a game the Chiefs needed to wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC. It wasn’t a playoff game, but starting to get that feel, as they wanted the win to set them up with the bye and home field. He delivered a playoff-like performance, grabbing eight passes on 11 targets for 84 yards and a TD.

Be sure to check out the new Winner’s Edge issue this week. The Best Bets won again last week, taking us to 30-13-1 against the spread, and we have a play from this weekend’s NFL card.

Come playoff time, Kelce is often Mahomes first read, and almost always his security blanket when things break down. He’s the one Patrick goes looking for. Houston can create pressure, so we do see Mahomes having a number of downs where he’s going to be looking to get rid of the ball quickly, or on the move and off schedule – exactly the type of plays he and Kelce are almost always on the exact same page. Add in the Texans’ talent at cornerback, a strength for them, and it should push more plays to the middle of the field – Kelce’s domain.

Even with that Kansas City receiving room getting healthier (and better) as the season wore on, Travis’ numbers, in situations where it mattered, remained steady.

We debated whether to go with Kelce’s receiving yards (51.5 at -112), or number of receptions (5.5 -113).

We decided to go with the receptions.

Also catching our eye, but something we haven’t played is “Kelce anytime TD” prop at +145. He’s scored 13 TDs in the playoffs, scoring at least once in 10 of the 13 games.

Prop Play: Travis Kelce Over 5.5 Receptions (-113)
